First Aid Training

The Chief Inspector has issued a directive that from the date of this Notice, (30 September 2016) all first aid training service providers must be accredited with the Health and Welfare SETA (HWSETA).

This accreditation is a requirement for getting accreditation from the Department itself (i.e. the “licence” to train in First Aid). Service providers, who currently have the Departmental accreditation (only) have until 30 September 2017, to secure their HWSETA accreditation.

Failing this, they will be de-registered, and will lose their authority to present first aid courses.
